Metallbau is a licensed fabricator for Amkey brand light gauge steel trusses. The chord and web section shapes are proprietary to the brand, and are strong and lightweight. They're an excellent product and easy to erect-much easier than C-trusses.

We have used open web light gauge steel trusses on many of the major projects that we've built. We've built LGSF trusses for both floor and roof applications, and for almost every roof configuration imaginable. Over time we've discovered many best practices that we now consistently apply to each new truss project.

Examples of previous truss combinations we've built include:

Gable, hip, and other roof truss shapes built using open web trusses
Low slope roof trusses (parallel chord) with normal plywood sheathing, or fire resistive plywood to achieve Type II, that may reduce the need for sprinklers.
LGSF open web floor trusses; using ¾" metal decking; and 2.5" concrete
